Jacksonville Jobless Rate Under 10 Percent

Jacksonville Jobless Rate Under 10 Percent

It seems like 10 percent is the base rate with which to measure unemployment these days. If you’re over 10 percent, you’ve got a bad situation; if you’re under, it means things could be on the mend.

If this is the case, then Jacksonville is definitely on the mend. The city is now facing an unemployment rate of 9.7 percent, down from the previous month’s 10.2 percent. This is a pretty drastic drop, considering that most cities are making a fuss about a .1 percent change lately. It’s also great news when you consider that Jacksonville had an unemployment rate of 11.5 percent just back in January. The city is really making leaps toward progress; way to go, Jacksonville!
